Elena Antimonova

Elena Antimonova (1945-2002) — graphic artist, watercolourist, illustrator. She was born in Tbilisi, then moved to Latvia, where she studied painting at the Latvian Academy of Arts.

Since 1969, she regularly exhibited her works; her personal exhibitions were held in Riga, Tartu, Poland, Venice.

The artist designed and illustrated more than 60 books, including classics of world literature, fairy tales, poetry collections, as well as miniature books of Latvian mischievous dainas.
