Benjamin Chaud (born 1975) is a French illustrator and children’s book author. He studied drawing and applied arts in Paris at the École des Arts Appliqués and later at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg.
He works with many publishers and creates both illustrations and his own picture books. Chaud is especially known for long-running characters and series, including the Pomelo books written by Ramona Bădescu. His books are published in many countries and translated into numerous languages.
His drawings are lively and expressive, often full of small details, humor, and everyday observations. Benjamin Chaud continues to work actively in children’s publishing, combining strong storytelling with a very recognizable visual style.
