Emma Lewis is a London-based illustrator and designer working across narrative and commercial illustration. She writes and illustrates picture books while also taking on editorial and branded work. Her style is shaped by folk and naive art, the picture-books of the mid-20th century, and her travels.
She studied illustration at Camberwell College of Arts and Falmouth University. Her debut picture book as author-illustrator won the BolognaRagazzi Opera Prima Award and she has been nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal.
Her work blends storytelling and visual design in a distinctive way that feels personal yet versatile.
