Marc Majewski is a French illustrator and picture book creator based in Berlin. He spent his childhood in the Alps, surrounded by lakes and forests, which has profoundly influenced his work. Nature plays a central role in his books, often depicted as vast, rich, and colorful, serving as a source of wonder or a refuge.
Majewski has written and illustrated several books, including Butterfly Child (2022), which has been translated into more than ten languages. Working primarily with paint and ink, his illustrations are known for sweeping strokes and vibrant colors. His work has been featured in international exhibitions, including the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustrators Exhibition and the Society of Illustrators’ The Original Art, as well as in publications such as Internazionale, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and La Revue Dessinée.
