Paloma Valdivia was born in Santiago de Chile in 1978. She studied Design, Anthropology & Audiovisual Communication at the Catholic University of Chile, and Illustration at the School of Art & Design in Barcelona, Spain. Passionate from a young age about drawing and telling stories, Paloma eventually decided to dedicate herself to creating children’s books, as both an author and illustrator.
Paloma currently lives in her hometown of Santiago with her family, where she runs her own publishing company, Ediciones Liebre, teaches, and creates picture books. Paloma’s books have been published around the world and translated into over 15 languages.
