Thomas Perino is a French artist and illustrator who draws in a minimalist and abstract manner. His illustrations are reminiscent of Art Deco arabesques, referring to the pure geometry of Art Nouveau.
Thomas lives and works in Paris. Plastic artist and engraver, he graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris and has illustrated several books for the Seuil editions and La Martinière, including Alice in Wonderland. The images of his wood engraving work use a large graphic vocabulary such as the line/surface oppositon, the straight/curb line or the scratch and the circle, and maintains a special relationship with writing and literature. Thomas Perino collaborates with several groups including Les Soirées Dessinées, Les Fondeurs de Roue and the theatre company Le Corps à Parole.
