Clara Dackenberg

Clara Dackenberg (1987) is a Swedish illustrator and visual artist. She was born in Umeå and is currently based in Malmö. Dackenberg studied at HDK in Gothenburg and holds an MFA from Konstfack in Stockholm. She debuted as a children’s-book illustrator around 2010.

Her work spans picture books, wood-carving, and exhibitions, blending illustration with craft and folk traditions. In 2019 she received the Ilon Wikland scholarship and has since been recognized among Sweden’s notable children’s-book illustrators.
